Their franchise offers multiple revenue streams by capitalizing on services like lawn care, perimeter pest control, mosquito and tick control as well as tree and shrub care. Franchisees have three options: a single-territory, multi-territory, or empire builder franchise. It is structured as such because the franchisor encourages business growth among its franchisees by eventually expanding the areas that they serve. While Lawn Doctor doesn’t require certain experiences from its franchisees, they do value excellent personal qualities, relevant professional experiences, and good financial standing among its investors. Overall, Lawn Doctor offers a simple, scalable business model that doesn’t even require a retail location. To support franchisees, they offer a comprehensive training program that includes a mix of two-week, two-year, and ongoing training programs. The two weeks of initial training takes place at the national headquarters in Holmdel, New Jersey. This includes classroom and hands-on training sessions. All franchise owners are given a regional business consultant for the duration of the franchise agreement. During the first two years, your assigned consultant will also provide valuable on-site assistance. A Lawn Doctor franchise fee is $35,000 with an initial investment ranging from $101,890 to $115,940 and a 10% royalty fee from net revenues. For a franchisee to qualify, he or she must show assets worth at least $60,000. To help meet these financial requirements, Lawn Doctor offers financing options to qualified candidates. During startup, Lawn Doctor’s financing can cover over half of the startup costs or up to $60,000. They also offer a $10,000 discount to military veterans, minorities, and green industry professionals.
